Thanks for the suggestions.
I contacted Hortonworks before mailing the list. They don't do support
for a standalone Zookeeper installation. They also said they would only
support the whole package as part of their HDP solution.
I also contacted Cloudera and am waiting for a response but thought I'd
ask here in parallel.
