Hi,

A small update:

Given that everything points to a strange xml config of my pc, I just 
installed a new eclipse 3.3.1.1 (emf with update manager), an apache 
UIMA 2.2.0 on a random student pc (java 1.6.0_02 was installed). But 
still get the same Exception.
