have been unable to find anything similar to this problem. Thanks, Bryon

Hi,

I'm in desperate need of help and any that you can provide is sincerely
appreciated. I've configured Apache to force a basic authentication for
one
of my Tomcat contexts. My problem is that when the DirectoryIndex is set
for
to retrieve an index.jsp I get a HTTP 500 errror. When serving a regular
index.html everything works perfectly. The Apache directives follow:

DirectoryIndex index.jsp index.html

<Location "/piccare">
	AuthName "PIC-CARE Secure Area"
	AuthType Basic
	AuthUserFile C:/Apache/security/password.file
	AuthGroupFile C:/Apache/security/group.file
	require group picUser
	AllowOverride AuthConfig
	Options FollowSymlinks
	Order allow,deny
	Allow from all
</Location>

include my_mod_jk.conf
