EL treates operators as functions

The JSP/EL language is incorrectly treating operator keywords (such as 'and'
'or' 'mod' and so on) as functions when the expression on the right of the
operator is a parenthetical expression. 

For example: ${7 div (3 + 2)}   gives a translation error because it thinks
that 'div' should be treated as a function (but it cannot find the declaration
of that function).

I have a test webapp that I will submit.
