You are correct -- there is *definitely* something whacked up with your system.

If you are running Tomcat out-of-the-box (i.e. no native code), then a system
reboot is a symptom of one (or more) of the following, not a Tomcat bug:
* Hardware problem
* OS problem
* JDK problem

Pure-Java programs cannot cause a system reboot (or even a JDK crash) without
one of these factors being the underlying cause.  Therefore, I'm closing this as
a Tomcat bug report, and suggest you investigate the above three areas.
