I would love to help you out.  I was actually working on the same thing for
tomcat 4.  I can create services for java but could not figure which file I
needed to wrap.  It took me a bit to find out how to make services and have
not been able to learn more about the structure of Catalina.  I get stuck at
the bootstrap.

Anyway.  I would love to contrubute if I can.
