Subject [jira] [Commented] (TEPHRA-303) HBase 1.1 tests don't compile
Date Wed, 03 Jul 2019 20:44:00 GMT

Andreas Neumann commented on TEPHRA-303:

This PR seems to fix it It is a bit of a restructuring, but I think it is cleaner.

See the travis build. 3 jobs are failing:
 * 2 failures with jdk7 when talking to sonatype about CDH artifacts. This happens consistently
and only for these artifacts. I applied the work-around documented here but it does not work
for CD artifacts. Not sure why.
 * 1 failure due to a timeout, the job gets killed after 8 minutes because it exceeded the
time limit. Afaik the time limit is 50 minutes for a job (or 10 minutes of not producing any
output). I don't see how it could exceed that after only 8 minutes.

Question is should we disable the jdk7 builds for CDH versions of HBase? Or should we stop
supporting Java 7 alltogether, like most other projects have?
