We can wait for the bug to be fixed, as our OS is possibly too old to run 1.6.17 (RHEL 5.5) and repoforge contains RPM for RHEL5.5 up to 1.6.15 only. It's been less than a month since you reported it, and a bit more= than
two weeks since the cause was determined. Do please remember that this
is a volunteer project. There's no need to keep nagging.

In the meantime, have you implemented the workaround that Philip
mentioned, i.e., upgrading your server to version 1.6.17?
