Subject RE: using MSVC from the command line

Hi Martin,

You may use the devenv command line to build the whole solution or any
project in the solution. First call vsvars32 to establish paths to
Visual Studio folders and then invoke

devenv <solution file> /build solutionconfig [ /project
projectnameorfile ]

where "solution file" is the path to the solution to be build.

For more information about the devenv command line switches you may
invoke "devenv /?".

With best wishes,
Anton Pevtsov

Subject: using MSVC from the command line

Hey Anton,

Is there any way to invoke Visual Studio from the command line to just
build a project without opening up the GUI? E.g., when I'm remotely
logged in to my Windows machine using, say, telnet and I can't open up
the whole IDE.
