Qian Xu commented on SQOOP-1644:
--------------------------------

[~jarcec] Optional fields and conditional required fields are slightly different.

For instance:
 * {{NumberOfExtractor}} is an optional field. If user does not specify, Sqoop will use default
value for it.
 * {{CustomCompressionCodecClass}} is conditional required, when {{CompressionCodec}} equals
{{CUSTOM}}.

Usually when you fill a form, required fields are at least marked with a "*". This helps user
to distinguish a required field and an optional field. I'd vote for having SQOOP-1061 and
SQOOP-1643 both.

> The goal is to have much better user experience when user has to fill out the values
for config inputs in the UI/ shell client.
