I have configured the maven-deploy-plugin in my parent pom as below,
which is supposed to disable the pom generation for deployed artifact :
		  <plugin>
 	   	    <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
	   	    <artifactId>maven-deploy-plugin</artifactId>
	   	    <version>2.2.1</version>
	   	          <configuration>
	   	            <generatePom>false</generatePom>
	   	          </configuration>
	   	  </plugin>  

But, it does not work.

Any thoughts ?
