Subject [jira] [Commented] (ZOOKEEPER-3044) OutOfMemoryError exceptions in Jenkins when running tests
Date Sat, 19 May 2018 23:41:00 GMT

Patrick Hunt commented on ZOOKEEPER-3044:
-----------------------------------------

[~bkanivets] if you're interested could you update the flakey test report to include this
detail? (if so create a separate jira)

This job:
https://builds.apache.org/view/S-Z/view/ZooKeeper/job/ZooKeeper-Find-Flaky-Tests/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/report.html

The code for which is here:
https://github.com/apache/zookeeper/blob/jenkins-tools/zk-test-report/zk_test_analyzer.py

Looks like you'd have to update it a bit to use the Jenkins json details rather than scraping
the page, so not trivial.

However if we could include some details on the type of failure that might be interesting.

Thanks.

> I've spot checked some failing test results and noticed OutOfMemoryError on some of
them

> Right now the test command is:
> ant -Dtest.junit.maxmem=2g -Dtest.output=no -Dtest.junit.threads=8 -Dtest.junit.output.format=xml
-Djavac.target=1.9 clean test-core-java
> Is it possible to decrease the number of threads or increase maxmem?
