Summary: PDF page margins larger, different than PS rendering
Product: Fop
Version: 0.20.5
Platform: PC
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: pdf renderer
AssignedTo: fop-dev@xml.apache.org
ReportedBy: chiara.l.gelinas@questdiagnostics.com
We are using PDF rendering for web-based display and PostScript for printing
(same FO-document). The PostScript printouts are spot-on with the page margins
specified in the simple-page-master. Exact -- I measured them with a ruler. The
PDFs however are not. The margins are all larger by about .5cm and the content
is shrunken down proportionally smaller.
Basically, the PostScript rendering is actually following the margins specified
while the PDFs seem to be adding extra space alone the perimeter of the page
shrinking down the content within the margins.
