Subject Special characters
Date Fri, 17 Aug 2001 07:09:31 GMT

I try to render special character text in my svg document like a "ô". This
character is not rendered by SVG. In the Batik SVG viewer I get the error
"org.apache.crimson.parser/P-076 UTF-8 encoding of character 0x00112e960
can't be converted to Unicode". In IE the character is symbolized by a
square.
Here is my SVG source, I've tried different font (Helvetica, Arial, Times,
...) always same result.

<!ENTITY stt2 "fill:#000000; font-family:Helvetica; font-size:8;
text-anchor:start">
...
<text transform="matrix(1 0 0 1 41.17 72.59)" style="&stt2;"><tspan x="0"
y="0">Rue du Rhône 40</tspan></text>
...

Thank's in advance,
Jean-Michel
