Subject Any way to prevent glyph insertion in SVG files?
Date Wed, 22 Aug 2001 03:24:29 GMT
I'd like to make smaller SVG files.

Is there any way to prevent Batik from putting the glyph tags into an SVG file? Isn't it
possible to just list which font to use and have the SVG viewing application use its own
fonts for this purpose?

I'm looking at:
   http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/fonts.html
and I don't see any reason why one has to include SVG fonts to fall back on when the
viewing system doesn't have matching font families.

So is there any way to turn off the generation of the glyph tags?
