Dan, as a temporary solution, you could do something like:

        String schemaName = yourXBean.schemaType().getSourceName();
        String schemaPath = "schema/src/" + schemaName;
        ClassLoader classLoader = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader();
        XmlObject schemaXBean = XmlObject.Factory.parse( classLoader.getResourceAsStream(
schemaPath ) );
