Scott, thanks for posting the links to xmlbeans-dev.  Binding is a complex
problem, especially JAXB.  I've got a couple other writeups of some of the
JAXB problems on my machine that I need to get posted too.

Committers - there's lots of design work to do here, and we should try to
keep designing and planning here on this list; we will arrive at better
designs if we can get the wider community to participate, and I'm hoping it
will lead to more committers too.  For those here who are not aware, almost
all the existing committers are already all in different cities already and
already don't get the luxury of chatting in the hallway. Putting emails here
is easy cultural thing - the committers are already very distributed.  Phone
calls between committers are occassionally necessary and harder to CC to the
list, but I'll personally make sure that the list is involved.

The next note is about a phone discussion, hold on...
