Subject [jira] Commented: (XALANJ-2243) disable-output-escaping="yes" is not working

sarajit ghosh commented on XALANJ-2243:
---------------------------------------

if use <xsl:variable name="temp" select ="تنن"/>
then desired output will come.
As i am working for multilingual feature.
For that input box if input is "&ab" then it will give parsing error. thats why i have
used it like this تنن(This is coming from
some xml file)
For <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">تنن</xsl:text>

and all it is working fine.
Only when i am assigning to

then it is showing تنن as output
for "Windows-1256"

"äÊÊ"

<xsl:variable name="temp" select ="äÊÊ"/>

is not working
but for

<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATAäÊÊ</xsl:text>

it is working
please help.
