I've checked in changes to fix the warnings about member initialization order.  
The other errors and warnings are either in Xerces or are likely a result of a 
mismatch in compilers.  The official release of Xerces-C on Solaris was built 
using the Sun Workshop compiler.  If you want to use gcc, you'll have to 
rebuild Xerces.  The official build of Xerces-C on Linux is using an older 
version of the gcc compiler.  If you're using a newer one, then you'll need to 
rebuild Xerces.

If you have built everything yourself, then I don't know what we can do to help 
you, since we are not building using the version of Linux and gcc you're using.
