Subject RE: compare XML file and generate a differential XML file
Date Mon, 05 Jan 2004 13:07:14 GMT
Gareth,

Yah, I know abt DeltaXML. I want to implement quite the same functionality when i say comparing
XMLs
By Infoset you mean, the logical information units many of which can presnt in a single XML,
right ?
I want to be able to get a differential XML which contains new infoset, deleted infoste (with
an attribute called deleted = yes or no), and all the changed ones

What was your experience.. what was ur approach ?

Thanks,
Pankaj

Hi,
We have had some experience in this. It depends how far you want
to go with actually comparing the infoset rather than the text. In the end
we decided to go with the diffing tool from deltaXML which sounds like it
does what you want.
