Try Marc Wutka's DTDParser, I have successfully used this in my 
DTDexplorer.
I know that Xerces has this feature sort of planned but only have it 
for Schema now...

I would like to know wether there's such a thing for RelaxNG... in 
which Trang could sort of bring DTD-inspection close-by...
