There were methods removed.  And there were methods added to public
interfaces that existing code implements.

Nothing self-serving about sincerely wanting to avoid compatiblity

What's the most effective way to get the information to the right people?
I am willing to test new drops on a frequently (even daily) basis.
Alternately, everything required to reproduce my results is freely
available.  If someone with the ability to correct these problems is
interested, I am willing to invest the time necessary to show them how to
reproduce the problem
