Sun plans to have a release of the JAXP Reference Implementation (RI)
with version number 1.1.1 real soon. Crimson is a component of the JAXP
RI, and so the version that will ship with JAXP RI version 1.1.1, will
be tagged with version 1.1.1. The plan is to do that later today.

BTW, I was trying to be careful in distiguishing the JAXP spec version
from the RI version. Here, the spec version has not changed, it is
still 1.1, but the RI version has changed. The RI contains 3
implementation components:
  + javax.xml.* classes => implementation version 1.1.1
  + Xalan-j => implementation version 2.1
  + crimson => implementation version 1.1.1

xalan-j has already been tagged. The other 2 repositories still need to
be tagged.
