[RFC 2396]: RFC 2732 replaced definition of IPv4address

           Summary: [RFC 2396]: RFC 2732 replaced definition of IPv4address
           Product: Xerces2-J
           Version: 2.4.0
          Platform: All
               URL: http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2396.txt
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: xerces-j-dev@xml.apache.org
        ReportedBy: mrglavas@ece.uwaterloo.ca

RFC 2732 amends RFC 2396 by replacing the definition of IPv4address as defined
by RFC 2373. See section [3. Changes to RFC 2396] in RFC 2732. The Xerces URI
implementation still processes the old production and thus accepts invalid URIs
such as http://10000.10000.10000.10000/too/many/digits. This has implications
for a number of things within Xerces including XML Schema validation (anyURI).

Original Production:
IPv4address = 1*digit "." 1*digit "." 1*digit "." 1*digit

Production as amended by RFC 2732:
IPv4address = 1*3DIGIT "." 1*3DIGIT "." 1*3DIGIT "." 1*3DIGIT
