Hi,
I have found the usage of DOMString and related classes from Xerces library
and I am trying to debug some code which extensively uses these classes. I
am not able to see any value contained by the objects of these classes.

I googled and found this link

http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/xerces-general/200001.mbox/%3COFF1C2AEE9.9C0AEA6F-ON8525685C.001B50CA@Lotus.com%3E
(I have interpreted the above link describing two ways to do this first to
move classes and second to do these settings. Correct me if I am wrong. In
Visual Studio 2008 there is no setting to display unicode character and I
guess by default it is on)

I have used the following in my autoexp.dat file
;------------------------------------------------------------------------------

;Xerces

DOMString=<fHandle->fDSData->fData,su>

;------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did try viewing the value of DOMString object using "var,su" in quick
watch window but still it does not show anything.

I have restarted visual studio after making the above changes and still it
does not show the value contained by DOMString object.

Does anyone know how to display DOMString in visual studio 2008? Thanks in
advance.

Thanks!

Hi all,

Since Xerces became a top-level project we've had a fairly bare bones a=

frankly uninviting website which we were building with the old Styleboo=

time in figuring out how to use Forrest. The result from that effort i=

brand new site which I've checked in to SVN and uploaded to

Check it out.

Hi Gareth,

I'm sure. There's a document in the committers module in SVN (called
committee-info.txt) which has the reporting schedule for every project.
Ours is: February, May, August, November. That hasn't changed.

We were late last time. The "September" report is our August one [1]. Seems
they didn't get your first e-mail to them. You resent the report to them on
September 3rd.

Thanks.

Hi,

There's no release of Xerces which has both of those classes. Looks like
you have copies of Xerces-J 1.x and 2.x on your classpath so it wouldn't
surprise me if you ran into compatibility problems. Try replacing whatever
jars you're using with the latest release [1].

Thanks.

Hi

i must use the Xerces' library in order to create a XML Schema file, but i
can not find the methods and the right to do it.

I have got to create this XML Schema starting from datas - extracted from a
database - which represent the component of the schema itself.

I have no file to give to XSLoader, but i must follow the path in reverse
order.

I have tried to use the packages org.apache.xerces.impl.xs but without
results.

Is it possible?

Please, if anyone knows how to create a XML Schema using the libraries given
by Xerces, could gently tell me something?

Thanks

Though I haven't heard anything yet from Gareth, I believe we're due for
our quarterly report to the Apache board. A Wiki page is setup for the
report here: http://wiki.apache.org/xerces/August2007.

I'll take care of Xerces-J and XML Commons. Could other committers please
fill in the status for Xerces-C and Xerces-P.

Hi,

Your question doesn't appear to have anything to do with Xerces. For
generic usage queries about XML Schema, the W3C mailing list [1] is more

appropriate.

Thanks.

Hi,

I am using the SAXParser provided in the xerces.jar through which i am able
to validate xml based on dtd validations. Now I need to extend the Saxparser
functionality so that i can define some additional rules and perform
validations on that rules. Can anyone please tell me how can i do that?

for EXAMPLE i would like to validate expression : a+(b+c)
on following grammar that the brackets are properly closed and the operator
+ must have two operands....
I will have the expression written in the xml as
<mytag> a+(b+c) </mytag>

thanks in advance...
