There would still be a lot of issues involved I think. They probably
wouldn't care about SAX1 anymore, and the SAX2 implementation is not a
complete one AFAIK.

Is there any interest in submitting the Xerces C++ SAX bindings to the SAX
group? For example by standardizing this it would allow Xalan to be built
without depending on the Xerces source tree. As far as I know no one has
submitted a C++ binding to the SAX group. The only C oriented binding is MS'
COM bindings.
