Pulasthi Mahawithana commented on XALANJ-2550:

Hi Michael,

I'm a final year computer science and engineering undergraduate. I have a very good experience
in Java, and I have also worked with XML and XSLT. Therefore I found this project interesting
for me to work. As I see, this ticket has been created for last year's GSoC program and seems
it wasn't selected last year. So, will this ticket be available for this year's GSoC program?

> StAXSource [1] and StAXResult [2] were introduced in JAXP 1.4. Xalan-J does not yet support
these interfaces. The goal of this project is to implement support for StAXSource/StAXResult
in the TransformerFactory and Transformer as required for JAXP 1.4.
