Can you please update information about our mirror ?

Hello,
We would like to apply for your mirror program and become an official mirror
of Apache for Bulgaria. We have done all the things you have described in
"How to Become a Mirror" section and our mirror is ready. We have enough HDD
space and there is no problem to add more. We use 100MBPS Bulgarian peering
and this helps us to provide a good mirror from Bulgaria. Our domain tld is
.BG, which makes it the best choice to provide big traffic and success. You
can see our mirror here: http://mirror.apache.bg
If you have questions, don`t hesitate to contact us!

Hi Sascha, Yes we lost a disk on our EU mirror m/c, all back up now and I
see your mirror is back up to date. (Next time we'll remember to redirect to
master!)

>
> I just checked our mirror and it is also not on the list anymore.

Hi Arpana Tiwari,

   Some time ago I posted on this list the new (relaxed) requirements
   regarding the addition of 'sponsor information' on apache mirrors.

     http://www.apache.org/info/how-to-mirror.html

     You must carry the complete site, with no local changes -
particularly
     HEADER.html and README.html files must not be altered or removed ;
see
     below for adding sponsor information

     ...

     You can add sponsor information as follows :

         * edit the file /local/path/to/mirror/README.html
         * add to your rsync options --exclude "/README.html"

     The contents of README.html will appear near the bottom of your
     mirror's home page.

     Please note that only the home-page (top-level) README.html may be
     customized in this way; all other README.html files must be
mirrored
     unchanged. Don't omit the '/' in "/README.html".

   Some sites that replace all README files, were removed from the list.

> Arpana

   Henk Penning

  My mirror (http://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/apache/) is also not listed. I believe this
was due to missing HEADER.html, which has now been fixed. Could you re-add the mirror (or
let me know if I need to make additional changes/fixes).

    > We've been an apache mirror for several years. It seems we're not on

    Peter,

      recently we looked at the mirrors regarding our requirements.

        http://www.apache.org/info/how-to-mirror.html

      It says among other things:

        You must carry the complete site, with no local changes - particularly
        HEADER.html and README.html files must not be altered or removed ;

        ...

        In addition, we require that you run the Apache HTTP Server version
        1.3.26 or 2.0.43 or later and use the following configuration for your
        web mirror to allow all the features of our download site to function
        optimally:

            <Directory /path/to/mirror>
            IndexOptions FancyIndexing NameWidth=* FoldersFirst \
              ScanHTMLTitles DescriptionWidth=*
            HeaderName HEADER.html
            ReadmeName README.html
            AllowOverride FileInfo Indexes
            Options Indexes
            SymLinksIfOwnerMatch
            </Directory>

      It appears that apache.mirrors.hoobly.com runs lighttpd/1.4.19 ;
      more important it doesn't show the contents of README and HEADER
      files in directory listings. Many projects put important info in
      those files, and expect downloaders to see them in overviews.

>
> lighttpd/1.4.22

   We are going through the list slowly. There are now 305 mirrors.
   No mirror is "'exempt' from the new rules".

You should probably remove 'mirrors.isc.org' as well, as they are using
lighttpd/1.4.22

lighttpd/1.4.22
http://mirrors.isc.org/pub/apache/

Or are they 'exempt' from the new rules that only a few mirrors have to
follow?

>
> I just checked our mirror and it is also not on the list anymore.

Hi Arpana Tiwari,

   Some time ago I posted on this list the new (relaxed) requirements
   regarding the addition of 'sponsor information' on apache mirrors.

     http://www.apache.org/info/how-to-mirror.html

     You must carry the complete site, with no local changes -
particularly
     HEADER.html and README.html files must not be altered or removed ;
see
     below for adding sponsor information

     ...

     You can add sponsor information as follows :

         * edit the file /local/path/to/mirror/README.html

> Arpana

   Regards,

   Henk Penning
