Eugene Butusov created LEGAL-352:
------------------------------------

Summary: Should I specify anyhow that my proprietary product uses Apache licensed
software?
                 Key: LEGAL-352
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-352
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: Eugene Butusov

Hi ASF team,
I've tried to find exact answer on my questions, but not sure it's right from lawyer's perspective,
so will appreciate any help with that. Please help me with the next questions:
1) If I'm using open-source product from Google, for example, licensed under Apache License
2.0, I can use this product as a part in my proprietary software. But should I mention somehow
that this thing is created by original vendor, if it uses original non-modified Apache 2.0
license?
2) If I'm using open-source product from Google, for example, licensed under Apache License
2.0, I can modify this product for myself privately and use it as a part in my proprietary
software. Can I do these modifications and should I mention again that my product has code
based on Apache-powered solution? In `Terms and Conditions`, for example.

Thanks in advance for your assistance on this!
