Subject [jira] [Created] (LEGAL-290) Clarification around glog as a BSD-3-Clause licensed work
Date Thu, 09 Feb 2017 04:23:41 GMT
John D. Ament created LEGAL-290:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Clarification around glog as a BSD-3-Clause licensed work
                 Key: LEGAL-290
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-290
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: John D. Ament

And maybe this needs to be discussed elsewhere, but what the hey.

Google Glog is supposedly [BSD-3-Clause|https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/COPYING]

However, if I browse through the source code I can find some content, which likely falls under
build chains per Niclas Hedhman,that is not appropriately licensed. So I'm wondering if the
reliance on glog would be considered OK?

GPL:
* https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/compile
* https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/config.guess
* https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/config.sub
* https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/depcomp
* https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/ltmain.sh
* https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/missing

BSD 4 Clause:
* https://github.com/google/glog/blob/master/install-sh
