Perhaps step 1 is a nice write up of the paths a project currently on the
json jar should be considering.

After a brief intro of the issue, it could list things like 1) migrate code
to Jackson, 2) use com.tdunning (kudos for making that Ted), 3) remove
functionality, 4), 5) etc?
