Roman Shaposhnik commented on LEGAL-269:
----------------------------------------

My personal opinion is that the safest bet is to cache it at the non-ASF location and link
to that. I see no issue with caching it at Cloudera's control website.

> Apache Oozie relies on an external 3rd party GPLv3 licensed library for its Web UI called
ext-js. It's a really old version (v2.2) that isn't even linked on their website anymore,
though the file was still on their servers (usually, we've had cases in the past where it's
been temporarily removed or moved). Anyway, it looks like they finally removed it for good.

> Due to the licensing, we've not been including ext-js with Oozie itself, and it's use
is optional.
> The Oozie documentation has been linking to the 3rd party's website to download ext-js.
Now that the link is no longer working, we're trying to figure out a solution for users wanting
to get it. I imagine that we can't host a copy on the Apache Oozie website, right? Cloudera
also has a copy on its website, and we've discussed linking the Oozie docs to there.
> Can you comment from a licensing perspective on both of these options? Any other ideas?
> Here's the contents of the license.txt file from ext-js for reference:
