Subject [jira] [Created] (LEGAL-263) Boilerplate license acceptable for binary distribution?
Date Sat, 09 Jul 2016 05:33:10 GMT
Andrew W. Hill created LEGAL-263:
------------------------------------

Summary: Boilerplate license acceptable for binary distribution?
                 Key: LEGAL-263
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-263
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: Andrew W. Hill

I'm distributing an executable deliverable, and in the "About" screen I list the 13 line boilerplate
from the bottom of http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0. However, in section 4a of
the license I see that I'm obligated to "give" a copy of the license along with the application.
Does this mean I should put the entire license into my About screen?
