Hen,

I believe what is being stated here and in the thread [1] is that the
original GPL w/Exception source material (libstdc++) was combined with
ASLv2 source material (snappy) and it resulted in a binary which takes
on the chosen license ASLv2 (chosen by snappy).  As a result  then the
Snappy-Java binary is ASLv2 and allowable for use.

That the NOTICE mentions the special exception [2] does not apply to
the category-x mention of disallowed special exceptions in this case
[3].

Is that correct?
