Subject [jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-236) CCLA vs SGA (clarification)

James Malone commented on LEGAL-236:

Ah, I missed that section of the CCLA. Some additional people @ Google will need to be listed
in Google's CCLA - what is the best way to make that happen? All of the contributors have
also signed ICLAs at this point, too.

There are also contributors outside of Google who have ICLAs.

> CCLA vs SGA (clarification)
> ---------------------------
> Key: LEGAL-236
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-236
> Project: Legal Discuss
> Issue Type: Question
> Reporter: James Malone
> I have a clarifying question for Apache Beam (incubating) so I can make sure we have
all of our ducks in a row.
> Google has a CCLA on file from their previous contribution of Wave. Additionally, all
committers on the project have signed CLAs at this point.
> Based on the docs (http://incubator.apache.org/guides/mentor.html#submit-cla) it looks
like we should be covered. Since CLAs (individual and corporate) are all signed, an SGA is
not required, correct? I wanted to confirm that all needed legal agreements are in place properly.
> I ask here because we were (also) asked to sign an SGA as well but it seems to be duplicative
based on the current docs.
> Thanks!
