Subject [jira] [Created] (LEGAL-236) CCLA vs SGA (clarification)
Date Thu, 18 Feb 2016 19:19:18 GMT
James Malone created LEGAL-236:
----------------------------------

             Summary: CCLA vs SGA (clarification)
                 Key: LEGAL-236
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-236
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: James Malone

I have a clarifying question for Apache Beam (incubating) so I can make sure we have all of
our ducks in a row.

Google has a CCLA on file from their previous contribution of Wave. Additionally, all committers
on the project have signed CLAs at this point.

Based on the docs (http://incubator.apache.org/guides/mentor.html#submit-cla) it looks like
we should be covered. Since CLAs (individual and corporate) are all signed, an SGA is not
required, correct? I wanted to confirm that all needed legal agreements are in place properly.

I ask here because we were (also) asked to sign an SGA as well but it seems to be duplicative
based on the current docs.

Thanks!
