Hi Mark,
     Kylin was developed in eBay and then contributed to Apache incubator
project on Nov 2014,
here's blog [1] and vote thread in general list [2]
     The code include implementation of this filed patent.
     For the "we" term, I mean Kylin PPMC, who is preparing for the
graduation.
