Subject [jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-190) ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Statement on the websites

Henri Yandell commented on LEGAL-190:

I'm still not sure what we would put on an ADA statement. The fisk.edu link is about their
employees. The code of conduct's section on diversity would seem to be akin to that. It lists
neurotype in its long list of diversifications, but otherwise nothing that calls out mentally/physically
impaired the way the fisk.edu link does. That said, it also notes that no list can hope to
be comprehensive.

Accessibility of our websites and development services/tools would be another subject. At
the least I think we should have a high bar on the accessibility for the foundation site,
including a page that helps an individual report an accessibility issue blocking them to the
related project (given they probably are being blocked from the project's page itself).

> ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Statement on the websites
> ---------------------------------------------------------------
> Key: LEGAL-190
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-190
> Project: Legal Discuss
> Issue Type: Question
> Reporter: Andrea Pescetti
> It would probably be good to have uniform ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) statements
for all the public websites of the Apache projects.
> Can we agree on a common page/text?
> This is loosely related to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-164 (a similar
issue, but for DCMA notices).
