Andrea Pescetti commented on LEGAL-190:
---------------------------------------

I am not a US Citizen and I am not a lawyer or anything related to that. From a quick web
search (for educational institutions) I see a statement at

http://www.fisk.edu/about/administration/office-of-the-provost/ada-compliance-statement

and a recent document filed in court against MIT (containing a number of remarks on what is
expected of a public website) at

http://www.ada.gov/briefs/mit_soi.pdf

At first sight, the Diversity statement in http://www.apache.org/foundation/policies/conduct.html
is similar in spirit to the ADA compliance statement reported above, but I'm really not competent
to judge this.

> ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Statement on the websites
> ---------------------------------------------------------------

> Key: LEGAL-190
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-190

> It would probably be good to have uniform ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) statements
for all the public websites of the Apache projects.
> Can we agree on a common page/text?
> This is loosely related to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-164 (a similar
issue, but for DCMA notices).
