The copyright notice is not relevant to the discussion. What is needed is the license information
for each file that you propose to distribute.

I looked at the references above and they do not seem to refer to the files under discussion.
The references https://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-7983 and https://communities.vmware.com/viewwebdoc.jspa?documentID=DOC-10141
seem to discuss samples and the SDK.
