We put notices in our software not just for developers but for customers and users who want
to know the provenance and licenses for that code. When you remove existing notices from contributions
to Apache and insert only the bare minimum -- just because you want to save yourself from
hitting the PAGE-DOWN key when it appears on your screen -- you are losing information that
is important for others.

I honestly don't care how many words you have to type and skip through as long as those notices
benefit our customers. Set up a macro for it if you are lazy or bored, but please don't just
"focus on code"!

Remember that one important aspect of this Apache fellowship of ours is a shared concern with
abiding by the law regarding ownership and uses of copyrighted materials by many, many people.
These legal notices aren't noise.

> Hi all
> Today the license headers within files does need ~ 15 lines within a file.
> This needs lot of space at the top of a file, probably too much if you have a small README
file.

> Is it possible to use a smaller header reflecting the license terms within a source or
README file?
