James Joseph Masanz commented on LEGAL-157:
-------------------------------------------

I'll try to get the IP part stated here clearly: I have permission from my employer to contribute
the models - just as I had permission to contribute them to cTAKES when cTAKES distributions
were hosted by Sourceforge. The folks at other institutions involved in cTAKES that contributed
models to cTAKES 3.0.0-incubating also have permission from their employers to contribute
their models.

The models are they are the output of machine learning algorithms. The means by which the
models were created is documented so others can create their own models from their own data
if they wish.

> We would like to include with cTAKES machine learning models built from data that is
not publicly available.
> The models are contributed to Apache.
> The corpus of data used to build the models is not contributed to Apache.
> Can we include such models in a convenience binary?
