SebastianWagner commented on LEGAL-147:

The advice on legal-discuss was a reference to:

I don't know but maybe this issue could be status changed to "close".
However as I am not a legal team member I let the issue stay open for now.

> our podling "Apache OpenMeetings" maintains a number of plugins to
> integrate OpenMeetings into several LMS, CMS and other 3th party
> products.
> The questions is if we can release those plugins as binary and source at the ASF under
the Apache License.
> All plugins have in common: They call API methods of the system they
> integrate as well as the system they are integrated into calls methods
> in the plugin and expects the plugin to have a certain structure.
> Each plugin is expected to have a certain structure required by the plugin loader mechanism
of the 3th party system.
> Each plugin can be treated as separated sub-project of Openmeetings. All plugins have
in common that they rely on API methods of the 3th party system as well as on API methods
of OpenMeetings.
> Each plugin is distributed as separated package, without bundling any Non-Apache License
compliant component.
> All plugins are in PHP (except for Zimbra which is done in JavaScript).
> Integration into GPL licensed products:
> GPL v1: ATutor
> GPL v2: Typo3, Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal
> GPL v3: Moodle
> Integration into other Open Source products:
> Magento ( http://www.magentocommerce.com/license/ )
> Zimbra ( http://www.zimbra.com/license/ )
> SugarCRM ( http://www.sugarcrm.com/page/sugarcrm-public-license/en )
> Integration into closed source products:
> Teambox
> Facebook
> Bitrix ( http://www.bitrixsoft.com )
