There are two different LGPL libraries [1] [2] that have been suggested for use with JMeter.

These would be used for optional functionality.

It should be easy enough to ensure that JMeter runs OK if the libraries are not present at
run-time (we used to have to do this with JavaMail).
Likewise, excluding the dependent source files from builds should not be too difficult.

However, ideally we would like to release JMeter with all the source code compiled, which
would mean the RM at least would need to download the jars.
