Subject [jira] Commented: (LEGAL-80) NTLM Inclusion in Apache Projects
Date Mon, 20 Sep 2010 21:47:34 GMT

Sam Ruby commented on LEGAL-80:
-------------------------------

> With the respect to NTLM implementations;
> http://lmgtfy.com/?q=microsoft+patent+promise+ntlm

Am I missing something? That doesn't look to be helpful.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc236621%28PROT.10%29.aspx

"a given Open Specification may be covered by Microsoft's Open Specification Promise (available
here: http://www.microsoft.com/interop/osp) or the Community Promise (available here: http://www.microsoft.com/interop/cp/default.mspx)."

I can't find "ntlm", "nlmp", or even "lan" in either of those two documents.

> The Apache Connectors Framework has an implementation of NTLM that it would like to include
in it's release. Please let us know whether this is OK.
