Sebb commented on LEGAL-72:
---------------------------

The question arises from Commons Compress:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COMPRESS-111

The patch that is provided is based on the 7Zip SDK, but the code has been heavily re-worked,
and the reporter has added AL headers.

Maybe it is sufficient to just acknowledge the source of the new files?
E.g.

"The files in the package lzma were derived from the 7Zip Java SDK (http://www.7-zip.org/sdk.html)
which is public domain"

> http://www.7-zip.org/sdk.html says:
> License
> LZMA SDK is placed in the public domain.
> Is this acceptable for inclusion within Apache products?
> As a binary dependency?
> As source, which is then modified?
