How infrequent must it be to be neglected?
I come across 3 use cases of sourceballs;

 1. Linux distributors typically build from sources.

 2. I often download Java sources to modify for experiments.

 3. I often come across custom versions inside development teams. I
have over the last year seen custom Struts, Axis and a couple of
non-Apache stuff.
