Subject [Help] Donating BSD code base to Apache as a base of an Apache lab project
Date Tue, 13 Nov 2007 14:22:04 GMT
Dear sir...

We are planning to create a new Apache lab project called Bennu.
Bennu will be a testbed for a router, firewall & Wi-Fi perimeter. It
will be a continuation of the now stale m0n0wall project
http://m0n0.ch/wall/ .

We contacted the team lead of the project and he agreed to donate
the m0n0wall source code to the Apache Software Foundation. He also
granted us the full right to relicense the current m0n0wall source
code under the ASL. This raises the issue that m0n0wall is licensed
under the BSD license http://m0n0.ch/wall/license.php (a copy from the
FreeBSD license statement), so what are the required steps to let him
donate this code to Apache?
