Subject Re: EPL and APL
Date Tue, 13 Dec 2005 16:53:09 GMT
Interestingly, we just discussed that last night at the Legal BOF here in
San Diego.

The answer depends on the meaning of "compatible".

So, a couple of questions?

Did you really mean the APL (which would be the Adaptive Public
License, right?) or did you mean the ASL (Apache Software License)?
What do you want the two licensed pieces of code to do?
Do you want to take code licensed to you under the EPL and ship
it under the ASL? Or take code licensed to you under the ASL and ship it
under the EPL?
Or do you just want the two separately licensed pieces of code
to play together well in a single application without changing the terms
it is licensed under?
