Mark Thomas commented on INFRA-12614:
-------------------------------------

I've started the developer account creation process. As expected there are various Ts&Cs
to agree to.

Stage 1 - Google Account Ts&Cs:
https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/terms/
https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/

These all look OK so I have agreed to them. If anyone has concerns, we always have the option
of deleting the account.

Stage 2 - Developer Agreements
https://play.google.com/intl/ALL_us/about/developer-distribution-agreement.html
https://play.google.com/about/developer-content-policy-print/

These look OK to me. There isn't anything like the wording that caused concern with the Apple
store. I'll get in touch with V.P. to sort out paying for this.

> So that ASF projects can add android apps they have developed to the Google Play store
the ASF will need to open the appropriate google account. This will probably be similar to
how the ASF handles the account for the Apple app store where certain PMC members are nominated
as release managers for the account so they can release apps on behalf of the PMC.
> ASF Legal will need to review the Ts&Cs associated with the account.
> It is $25 per account so do we want this as an ASF wide account or per PMC? It may be
better to start with a single ASF
> account managed by infra and then create additional PMC accounts
> later if necessary.
